One of their favorite passions together was watching the Minnesota Twins either on TV or up in Minneapolis. As proud as she was of her grandkids and their achievements, her competitive personality never quite allowed her to actually throw a game.

The relationship Eunice had with her grandchildren was very tight knit, filled with many pitch tournaments and laughs.

Vern enlisted in the US Army in 1950 and was honorably discharged in 1953.

Lavern was born January 30, 1930 in Lemmon, SD to Fred and Hilda (Miller) Baumeister.

Darline was a good cook and her house was always spotless. She had a green thumb for flowers and gardening, and her house was full of beautiful plants including her cherished Christmas cactus.
